Hi, my name is Warrick Bishop and welcome to my podcast and videocast station. Today is a celebration of the 200th podcast that I've produced. Well, I have to say a couple of years ago, if someone had said to me I was going to do this 200 times, I would never have believed them. But here we are. So a quick recap on what's happened and how we've got. to 200 podcasts we now have hundreds of subscribers which is fantastic we've had thousands of downloads and for those people who listen on a regular basis i really do appreciate that and i hope you find the information informative and valuable please share it because the more people who get to listen to it hopefully the more good it can do so don't be shy talk about it and let people know if you think this has been something that's been informative and beneficial for you, please share it. I've been running these podcasts for four years. As you're aware, or may be aware, I've produced Know Your Real Risk of Heart Attack, a book, and I've backed that up with a course so that people could get more detail. I've also written another book called Atrial Fibrillation Explained, and that is also supported. by a course. Again, accessible through the website, the Healthy Heart Network membership website. I'm literally in the process of finishing off a book on cardiac failure, a very complicated topic, but a very common one. It's been a big effort to put that book together. There's a lot of detail in it, but we've worked really hard to try and keep it simple for the usual for the non-medical population to be able to enjoy and get some information from. But also, there's enough detail in there to inform doctors, GPs, trainee doctors, nurses, and even trainee nurses. I'm in the process of putting a book together on cardiac rehabilitation and had the chance to interview Greg Page, who you may know as the original Yellow Wiggle. I also had the chance... to interview Darren Lehman, who was coach of the Australian cricket team for a period of time before he ended up needing bypass grafting. That book on cardiac rehabilitation I've been working on with a colleague, Dr Alistair Begg, and it's been a real pleasure to work with him on that. I've also been working with another colleague called Dr. Karam Kostner, who's a national and internationally recognized expert on lipids and cholesterol. We're putting together a book that's going to be called Cholesterol and Statins Explained, Understanding the Fats from Fiction. And I think this will be an important book because there's a lot of uncertainty and a lot of confusion around the role of statins, the role and the importance of cholesterol and coronary disease. I'm working on another book called Heart Attack Prevention Explained and I think that'll be a really useful short book to guide people on the best way to look after their heart health. This is really going to be for people who... haven't got a problem but want to avoid a problem. Working with John, my business partner and business manager, we've been able to put together the Healthy Heart Network and have created a free membership in that space which allows access to podcasts like this and blogs. We've also put together the premium Healthy Heart Network membership which includes more engagement with me, a private Facebook group and courses to support that. Over the journey so far, I've produced two TED Talks and they'll be mailed to you if you are part of the Healthy Heart Network membership. And interestingly, the second one I got back from America last year at the beginning of March, just before coronavirus. Shut all the doors. John and I are working on a cardio check web-based platform and as part of that, a virtual heart scan consultation to take people through the process of getting their heart scanned. Very excitingly, we're also looking at trying to incorporate a device into the Healthy Heart Network, a device that can allow us to monitor rhythm and pulse blood pressure. heart rate variability, even oxygen saturation, a whole lot of parameters that we love to fold into a premium Healthy Heart Network membership. And we're working on that right at the moment. For now, however, I'm going to wish you the very best. I hope you continue to listen to these podcasts and I hope they continue to provide you not only education, Not only being enjoyable, but relevance to you and help you achieve the best possible health care for yourself and your loved ones. As always, I'm going to wish you the very best. Take care. Bye for now. And please don't die from a heart attack. You have been listening to another podcast from Dr. Warrick.
