[0:00] Welcome, my name is Dr. Aurick Bishop. I'm a cardiologist, an author and a keynote speaker. I'm CEO of the Healthy Heart Network. I'm all about trying to help people
[0:12] Live as well as possible.
[0:13] For as long as possible.
[0:15] Heart disease is huge in Australia.
[0:18] Every 20 minutes someone suffers a heart attack. Most of these could probably have been avoided if only we knew what to do.
[0:26] This podcast is all about helping you understand
[0:29] Blood pressure, weight, cholesterol.
[0:32] For better health.
[0:33] If you enjoy this podcast, I would be honored for a five star review. You can share it with your family and friends. It may well save
[0:41] Someone you love.
[0:43] Hi, it's Dr. Warrick here and thank you so much for joining me on my podcast and videocast station. Today I have a special guest all the way from Dubai and indeed this would be as far as I can recall the very first interview I've had with someone from Dubai. I have with me Katrina Valenti.
[1:08] She has been in the wellness space for her entire career. She's an esthetician and in fact I'm going to get her to define that for you because it was a new word for me, but she's powerful in the space of anti-aging and she really has a purpose these days to support particularly women as they age, understanding
[1:28] Had her made youthful and vibrant through those years. Katrina, thanks so much for joining me.
[1:34] Thank you for having me, Dr. Warrick. A pleasure.
[1:38] Look, first of all, what's an esthetician? For those out there, there'll be some who know what it is and will show that I've got a terrible vocab, but there might be a few out there just like me who didn't know what that meant. Can you fill that in for us and explain what your background is, Katrina, please?
[1:55] Okay, so it's beauty therapy and aesthetics are everything to do with the face and body. So I was very famous in Dubai back in the day for being a facialist and I had the accolade of being one of the world's top four facialists, which took me internationally, traveling to the world's top spas and resorts around the world offering my services.
[2:23] Wow. Well, that sounds like a dream career, actually. So you're more settled now, I get. You're based in Dubai these days and
[2:35] I understand you're trying to really pull together some of the secrets for women to remain youthful and vibrant as they age. So for people listening, there may be some women approaching their 60s. What are the things, what
[2:51] World.
[2:52] What are the pillars, what are the things that you really consider important in that space, Katrina?
[3:39] :
[3:40] When you say inner peace, do you also extend that to things like meditation or breath work? Of course, yeah. I mean, mental health and your emotional stability has got a big thing to do with it. Your nervous system has to be in alignment. And in today's world with women working in the workplace, CEOs, big jobs,
[4:10] Because,
[4:11] Ultimately, women were never meant to work as hard as men. We were meant to be there to support men, to amplify them into their greatness as the female, as the all receiving energy. And it's gotten a bit mixed up today. And this is why there's so many single people in the world. There's so many women that are burnt out.
[4:36] You know,
[4:38] I'm here to help younger women not make the same mistakes I did.
[5:08] And I've devised three online courses to help them come back into their feminine energy, understand what that actually means, because a lot of women are so far in their masculine energy, which is the all doing energy, that they don't even understand what their true femininity is all about.
[5:30] I might jump in there, Katrina, and just ask for those listening and for me really, when you're talking about masculine and feminine energy, how would you sort of illustrate that for someone so that I can understand it a little better? What do you mean by women? Okay, so within each of us, male and female, there is the masculine and the feminine energy. The masculine energy is the all doing energy.
[6:00] The provider, the protector, you get up, you serve the family, you work, you provide. So our masculine energy as a woman is doing, it's what gets you up, it's what gets you moving. And we need both, don't get me wrong, we need both the masculine and feminine.
[6:19] The feminine as a woman is the all receiving energy. We are the nurturers, the caregivers, the amplifiers of a man into his greatness. You know, you've heard the saying, a woman is the backbone to every man's great success. So we each have a role to do. But in today's society, that's all changed because women are now working as hard as men.
[6:49] You know, I often say,
[6:51] Men used to go to war for women. Now women are at war with men. Where did it all go wrong?
[6:59] Let me ask for anyone listening who might be a feminist. Would a feminist be finding this conversation uncomfortable and how would you illustrate your points or bring those points forward?
[7:13] To explain to a feminist that
[7:17] Because one might say that you're making quite sexist discrepancies there. Can you help me with that? Yeah, the feminists are definitely not going to like it. Look, I'm not saying don't work. I think it's important for women to make their own money, have their own success. But they've crossed the line.
[7:37] They've crossed the line. Men and women are different for a reason. Genetically,
[7:44] We have our role in society and now it's like women just have lost their feminine energy and we need that to keep us in balance, to keep our nervous system in check and
[8:00] To have a fulfilling life.
[8:04] How does...
[8:06] How does a...
[8:07] A woman or even a male, how do they revisit their masculine or feminine energy and how do they recognise that?
[8:16] How do they re-energize it? How do they tap into it?
[8:21] You know, because women have become so strong, it's emasculated a lot of men in today's society. And it's like, women don't give men a chance.
[8:33] To be men.
[8:35] Because they're overpowering them, the two opinionated, all of this kind of thing. It's remembering who we are at our core, at the very essence of our being. And the feminine energy is relaxation, it's calm, it's fun, it's play, it's creativity.
[9:01] And so many women in business have forgotten that side of their personality.
[9:07] Do you think that business has driven that femininity out of women? To a degree.
[9:15] Are they forced to...
[9:19] To become more masculine in those roles, do you think that's what's happening?
[9:22] Yes, they have been. But as I am, as I, as I,
[9:28] I worked in the Maldives a lot. I was there 23 times in my career. And it only occurred to me last year, the reason I kept running back there was it was the only place I could retrieve my feminine energy. Because there on a desert island where there's nothing to do, nowhere to go, you have to just let go and go with the flow.
[9:58] It was where I made the most money effortlessly. So if woman can only realize that less is more and if they stay in the flow rather than push, they'll find that they can earn more and work less.
[10:15] Interesting. Do you think this shift in energies between men and women has had an impact in dating and relationships?
[10:26] Oh, 1000% definitely.
[10:29] Definitely. I mean, look, it's evolution. It's part of evolution, but it's being aware of what
[10:45] It's women that have changed, not men.
[10:48] Men are very simple creatures. It's women that have made things complicated. So relationship, dating has become very difficult because women don't need men for what they did 20, 30 years ago and they're fully self-sufficient. So men are kind of confused as to what women want these days.
[11:12] Yeah, challenging. I can see exactly what you're describing there and I'm sure there are people listening who can relate. Let's step away from masculine and feminine energy a little bit and let's come back to youth. We all dream about this concept of the fountain of youth. Is there one and if there was one, what would it look like for you?
[11:35] Sorry, I missed the word.
[11:37] Fountain of youth. So Katrina. Oh, fountain of youth.
[11:41] Let's step away.
[11:43] Let's step away from the energies and let's come back to youth.
[11:48] How would a fountain of youth look to you? What would you describe it? What would be in it?
[11:54] Well, I think I am the fountain of youth. At 60, I'm still very agile. I'm still very fit and healthy. I live my life.
[12:05] As I've always lived at any age, nothing has slowed down for me really. And it's because I've been consistent. I've always exercised. I've always eaten well. I've taken supplements. I meditate. I've worked on my inner self for many years. So it's an accumulation of all these things. But it's never too late to start. As long as we're. As long as we're.
[12:35] Be better.
[12:37] I think, uh,
[12:39] The sort of strategies that you've put in place, not only are they going to give you the best chance of having
[12:48] The healthiest.
[12:50] I think that's critical as well. I love that you find time for meditation. I presume that's meditation and breath work and within that things like,
[13:08] I have to confess the sort of things I have only found myself in recent years. I wish I had found them earlier. Is that the sort of thing you are talking about, Katrina?
[13:21] Yeah, definitely. I mean, I've been a holistic therapist since I was 32 years old and I was always interested in the other side of life, psychologically and how humans work, how the interaction of people
[13:36] The male/female energy worked together because I never found my person. I was always very interested to understand why. So it took me down the road of understanding the male/female dynamic.
[13:51] And I studied also Tantra because a lot of couples that I was working with were not sexually intimate. And so I wanted to understand why that was and how I could help them on a deeper level. And when there is true intimacy within a relationship, then you can move mountains, you create abundance, opportunities come to you effortlessly.
[14:21] I.
[14:22] Yeah. And I think all these things do come together. Again, if you'd asked me five or 10 years ago, do I believe in people having their own energy or their own vibration within our universe, for want of a better term, I would have sort of laughed at you. But I think we really do have some sort of
[14:42] Vibration.
[14:44] Um,
[14:45] And I think all these strategies that you allude to help us maintain or define that vibration and I think that's a really important thing. I can tell just from our conversation that you're vibrating in a very positive way actually. So. Thank you. Thank you.
[15:03] Yeah, I mean, I get that a lot, but obviously being a therapist for 30 years, you're there to help people to be an empath. And, you know, I've done the work. I've lived my talk fully. And I think that's part of why I've been successful in my career. Because people look at you and they want to aspire to you. And it's definitely about looking at the positive side of life.
[15:33] I mean, we're living in times where there's never been as much information and, you know, availability for all kinds of things, you know, information on nutrition, biohacking, all the different devices we can use nowadays for our health.
[16:23] P-N-T-E.com. Look it up. There's a couple of courses there that you put together. Katrana, do you want to, in just a few words, share what those three courses are about and we might wrap it up.
[16:35] Yeah, sure. So I have the eight video Secrets to Eternal Youth online that you just buy and you go through the videos and I'm talking about supplements, skin care, crystals, how color helps your life, detoxing, emotional therapy, essential oils.
[16:58] And then my six-week course is the Radiance Reset. So I'm targeting high-power businesswomen who have lost their sparkle and don't really understand why. And I take them through six weeks of understanding what their feminine energy is and how to come back to reset your nervous system. And each week they get a coaching session from me.
[17:28] of what they've
[17:29] And how to make themselves better. And then the 12 week course goes even deeper. And that comes with a very extensive workbook. Weekly coaching from me. And it really dives into all aspects of health, wellness and beauty.
[17:49] Look, from what I have experienced or know from personal development programs, you do something for 90 days or 12 weeks and there's a very good chance that'll embed
[18:00] In fact, for the rest of your life. So what a very positive influence that could be, Katrina.
[18:06] Thank you.
[18:07] Look, it's been an absolute delight sharing. I found out some wonderful stuff about masculine and feminine energy and I think this is an incredibly important topic and the way you speak about it makes me realize indeed
[18:22] How impactful it is in our society.
[18:25] Um,
[18:26] I've really enjoyed this. I know that the people listening and tuned in will have also enjoyed it as well. If you are interested, you know where to find Katrina at her website, katrina.valente.com. Katrina, thank you so much for joining me.
