Surf Life Saving is a unique federated organisation with a mission of saving lives, creating great Australians and building better communities. Coming from a surf life-saving volunteer background it is an unbelievable privilege to be CEO of Surf Life Saving Australia, having been appointed in 2018. After completing a Bachelor of Science (Marine Science) and Master of Applied Science (Coastal Management) at the University of Sydney, I began my Surf Life Saving professional career by applying this experience to develop new initiatives in aquatic public safety risk management and improve risk management practices within surf sport events and lead SLSA’s CoastSafe division.
