A note from Guy Leech

After a lifetime competing at the top level, I thought I understood health and fitness. Then I hit my 60s, put myself through Bryan Johnson's Rejuvenation Olympics, and started asking a better question: not how to live longer, but how to stay strong and clear-headed as the years add up.

That pointed me at something that had bugged me for years. What does an ageing body actually need? The advice contradicted itself, the shelves were overwhelming, and one expert's daily routine was the next expert's waste of money. So I asked the people who would actually know: doctors, researchers and formulators. What they told me was simpler than I expected, and it changed how I age.

I'll walk you through what I found, with cardiologist Dr Warrick Bishop keeping me honest on the evidence. Pull up a chair.

What This Webinar Covers

What Ageing Well After 50 Really Takes

After thirty years as a cardiologist, and more recently as a patient on the other side of the consulting room, I've come to trust one idea above all: you can't change what you don't measure. A lot of what we call 'ageing' is quietly measurable, and more of it sits within your control than most people are told. In this free session, Guy and I go through what really shifts in the body after 50, and the small levers that make the biggest difference. No fear and no false promises, just what the evidence supports and something you can act on this week. We'll also be straight about where supplements earn their place, and where they don't.

What Really Changes After 50

The body changes in real, measurable ways after 50: how it handles energy, how it recovers, how it holds muscle and bone, how the heart and brain are looked after. I’ll explain what’s actually happening, in plain language, and which of those changes you can slow or steer.

The Habits That Matter Most

A handful of levers do most of the work: movement, protein, sleep, stress, a few key nutrients. We'll look at what the evidence genuinely supports, so your effort goes where it counts rather than where it's marketed.

What’s Worth Measuring

You can't change what you don't measure. I'll point to the simple markers worth knowing, the ones you can ask your GP about, so 'ageing well' stops being a guess and becomes something you can track.

Keeping It Simple

Consistency beats complexity. We'll talk about building a routine you'll actually keep, without a cupboard full of bottles, and without turning your life upside down.

You'll walk away knowing…

  • What actually changes in your body after 50, and what you can steer
  • The few habits that make the biggest difference
  • The simple markers worth measuring, and what to ask your GP about
  • Where supplements genuinely help, and where they don't
  • One small step you can put in place this week

Special Guest · Next50 Formulator

Paul Wigger is a health and wellness entrepreneur with an academic background and more than a decade in the supplement industry. He works from the inside out: ingredients, formulations, and what the clinical evidence actually supports, rather than what markets well. That thinking shaped Next50, the daily nutrition formula built for how the body's needs change with age, and Paul led its formulation and ingredient choices. He is known for questioning underdosed products and asking a plain thing of any formula: the right ingredients, in the right forms, at amounts that do something.
